The compression force is same at each cross section of crystal .

Pressure = compression stress

= F/A = F/ pai r^2

Here , F = 50,000N, r= D/2 = 0.5 mm/2

= 0.25 ×10^-3 m

pressure P = 50,000/3.14 × (0.25 ×10^-3)^2

= 2.5 × 10^11 Nm^-2
