There are a number of measures that UNESCO has take in order to protect monuments:

1. Firstly, we should not scribble over the walls of monuments resembling national heritage.

2. Secondly we should not spit on them and try to protect them.

3. We should be able to follow the "Adopt a heritage" initiative for monuments.

4. We should give special care to the buffer zones do that we can check people and whether they are exploiting our heritage or not.

Four monuments are Taj Mahal, Hampi, Ajanta Caves and Sun temple.
