Five fundamental duties:-
1.to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India
2.to value and preserve the rich heritage of our culture.
3.to safeguard public property and to adjure violence
4.to develop humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform
5.parents and guardians should provide opportunities for education of his/her child.
they are important because the help to maintain unity in the country. All the citizens of the state have to perform all the fundamental duties.
