QUESTION 1: Can nations’ unique culture be used as a means to bridge the gap between the countries?
ANSWER: Yes. Think about how parts of Indian culture have been adopted the world over, like yoga for instance. People practice yoga in many foreign countries and also visit India primarily to get a better understanding of yoga and Indian culture in general.
QUESTION 2: Does culture play in defining one’s personality? OR Do you think culture has influenced your personality? How?
ANSWER: Cultural influences can be extremely obvious or subtle. The obvious influences include love for traditional music, dance, art forms or attire. The more subtle influences include respect for elders or the way people greet each other. Culture can also have negative effects on individuals. It can establish stereotypical thinking (like men are better than women), or discourage open mindedness (like believing in the caste system). In any case, culture plays a role in shaping an individual’s personality. You can also give examples of people brought up in western countries.
