In fractional distillation all the useful substance present in the product which we are using are separated out suppose we have taken petroleum so the other product like petrol ,kerosene , naptha and so on are separated according to there boiling point and then are separating the products the material that will be left out can be used as the wax which is used in preparing candels, Vaseline etc.
