DRDO is India's autonomous Defence Research and Development Organization ... It is under Defence Ministry.

DRDO headquarters are in New Delhi.  DRDO is responsible to equip our defence teams (Army, Air Force, Navy)  with latest technology weaponry.  They do research invent and develop new weapons.  DRDO has developed indigenously Agni missiles : surface to air.

DRDO has scientific labs in many locations.  Their job is to enable Indian defence forces to be prepared for any war.  DRDO has many wings, specific to each purpose and application.

Yep, its DEFENCE DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH it makes all weapons for India ,it is not a private company.
