In this case, since the electric bulb is 100 watts, that means it is consuming 100 Joules of energy per second (1 w = 1 J/s). Since there are 60 seconds in a minute, that means that the light bulb will consume (100 watts)*(60 seconds) or 6000 Joules.

Power = Energy / time

100w = Energy / 60 sec

Energy = 100 × 60 Joules

Energy = 6000 J

Energy = 6 KJ
