Short note on Differences between XML and HTML:

(1) XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. HTML stands for Hyper Text markup Language.


(2) XML uses User-defined tags. HTML uses pre-defined tags.


(3) XML tags are case-sensitive. HTML tags are not case sensitive.


(4) XML is used to carry data. HTML is used to Display data.


(5) XML uses no-empty tags. HTML tags can be empty.
