Before I start I would like to say that all of these suggestions are my personal opinions and may not be suitable for everyone . However I would like to suggest the following to student who is starting his JEE preparation :

I believe that trying to give an equal weightage to all three subjects is not a very good choice (unless you want a very good rank) ,the reason being that syllabus is very vast and not everyone can master all of the three subjects . So instead of giving an equal importance to the three subjects it's better to prioritise .But mind you ,never do that on the basis of your interest . CHEMISTRY is way more important than maths and physics though the weightage of the three subjects is same .The reason is ,it takes only about half the time to score X marks in chemistry than scoring the same in physics and maths. You can never get a very good rank with a weak chemistry .So never ever ignore chemistry .
