Junk food is a term used for food containing a large number of calories from sugar or fat with little fibre, protein, vitamins or minerals. Foods like burgers, chips, pizzas, soft drinks, candies, ice creams etc are considered as junk food.
When these food are consumed very often, the excess fat, simple carbohydrates, and processed sugar found in them contributes to an increased risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease and many other chronic health conditions.
Junk food refers to the food which is not healthy for a human body. It contains high levels of fat and sugar which is not good for human body. Although junk food makes you feel satisfied, they lack all the necessary nutrients like proteins and carbohydrates to keep your body energized and healthy.
It impairs digestion by causing irritation in stomach, causes fluctuations in blood sugar levels, increases risk of heart diseases which can cause cardiac crest and most importantly causes kidney diseases which can even include kidney failure.
