Answer:

It is a proof.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Tⁿ = Sinⁿ x + Cosⁿ x

prove:  2 T₆ - 3 T₄ + 1 = 0

LHS =

= 2 (Sin⁶ x + Cos⁶ x) - 3 (Sin⁴ x + Cos⁴ x) + 1

= 2 (Sin² x + Cos² x) (Sin⁴ x - Sin² x Cos² x + Cos⁴ x)

   - 3 (Sin⁴ x + Cos⁴ x) + 1

by using the formula for a³ + b³ = (a+b)(a²-ab+b²)

= - 2 Sin² x Cos² x - Sin⁴ x - Cos⁴ x + 1

= - (Sin² x + COs² x )² + 1

= -1 + 1 = 0 = RHS

Proved.
