From equation 1st , we have
4x=4+y
x =4+y/4
now,put this value of x in eq.2nd
we get ,
3(4+y/4)+2y =14
and ,
48+12y+8y = 56
y = 2/5
now,
put value of y in 1st
we get,
x=11/10
so the value of x is 11/10 and value of y is 2/5
hope it helps......
