randhir8: I think that answer is wrong!!
randhir8: u miss the word graphically
TRIPLESSS: oh... x=2 and y=4..put values on graph.. Ok..
randhir8: can u explain that
TRIPLESSS: 3*(4x-y=4) 1st eq. and 4*(3x+2y=14)..2nd eq.. .ok..on solving both equations - 11y=-44,or y=4 and put the y value in equation 1st.you got 12x=24 or x=2

From equation 1st , we have
4x=4+y
x =4+y/4
now,put this value of x in eq.2nd
we get ,
3(4+y/4)+2y =14
and ,
48+12y+8y = 56
y = 2/5
now,
put value of y in 1st
we get,
x=11/10
so the value of x is 11/10 and value of y is 2/5
hope it helps......
