As 3x has 3 digits and x is an integer.
=> 3x is a three digit number multiple of 3.
So,
3 digits number which are the multiple of 3 is
102,105,108...........999.
so,
values of x are 34,35,36.....333 ......(1)
(by dividing the each term of series by 3)
x has values [34,333]
Now,
for 4x to be a 4 digits number
As 4x has 4 digits and x is an integer.
=>4x is a 4 digit number multiple of 4.
So,
4 digits number which are the multiple of 4 is
1000,1004,1008...........9996.
So,
values of x are250,251,252,..............2499 ... (2)
So, from series(1) and series (2) ,
values of x for which 3x is 3 digits and 4x is 4
digits are250,251,252,........333.
values of x [250,333].
