Answer:

Weight of boxes is:

Apples: 12 kg

Grapes: 10 kg

Oranges: 13.5 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Let weight of box of grapes = g

Let weight of box of apples = a

Let weight of box of oranges = r

g + a + r = 35.5

ATQ,

g = a - 2

a = r - 1.5

=> (a - 2) + (r - 1.5) + r = 35.5

=> a -2 + 2r - 1.5 = 35.5

=> a + 2r = 39 ......Eqn 1

Now, resubstituting for a as a = r - 1.5, Eqn 1 becomes:

r - 1.5 + 2r = 39

3r = 40.5

=> r = 13.5

=> a = r - 1.5 = 12

=> g = a - 2 = 10

Weight of box of grapes = g = 10 kg

Weight of box of apples = a = 12 kg

Weight of box of oranges = r = 13.5 kg
