Hi,

a) The later Samhitas – Sama, Yajur and Athrva and the Brahmanas, Aranyakas and Upanishads were composed, extending from 1000 B.C. to 600 B.C.

b)
This age is also known as iron-phase as in the same period and same area, digging and exploration have brought people who used earthen bowls and dishes made of painted grey pottery and also used iron weapons. Atranjikhera, Hatinapur, Noh, Batesar, Alamgirpur some of the later Vedic sites excavated so far.

Hoping it helps
