the area of first part = (1/2 x100 x 40 )m2=2000 m

the area of second part is equal to area of first part .

Area of triangle 1 = 1/2 * base * height

                           = 1/2 * 40 * 100 = 2000 m² = Area of triangle 2

Area of rectangle = Area of triangle 1 + area of triangle 2

                              = 2000 + 2000 = 4000 m²
