(considering a to be even) each time an even number is added to it hence most probably 2 should be the answer.

If we do not consider a to be even by adding 2 and 4 to any odd number, they will all(a,a+2,a+4) never be divisble by 3, 5 or 7.

Hence, on the basis of probabilty, the answer is 2.
