(507)^2 = (500 + 7)^2

(a + b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab

(500 -7)^2 = (500)^2 + (7)^2 + 2*500*7

=250000 + 49 + 7000

=257,049

ii. 698

(698)^2 = (700 - 2)^2

(700 - 2 )^2 = (700)^2 + (2)^2 - 2 * 700 * 2

=490000 + 4 - 2800

=487,204

Solution of question(b)

i. 198 * 202

198 * 202 = (200 - 2)(200 + 2)

Note.[(a + b)(a - b) = a^2 - b^2 ]

=200^2 - 2^2

=40,000 - 4

= 39,996

ii. 63 * 57

63 * 57 = (60 + 3)(60 - 3)

=(60)^2 - (3)^2

=3600 - 9

=3,591

→ (7a + 5b - 2c) + (5a + 7b) + (2a - 7c) + (2a - 5b + 3c)

→ 7a + 5a + 2a + 2a + 5b + 7b - 5b - 2c - 7c + 3c

→ (16a + 7b - 6c)

Q.3) find the product of (y + 5)(y² - 7y + 3)

→ (y + 5)(y² - 7y + 3)

→ y³ - 7y² + 3y + 5y² - 35y + 15

→ y³ - 2y² - 32y + 15
