Answer:

(a) HCl; (b) 0.05mol; (c) 0.05mol

Explanation:

(a)

no of moles of Zn = 6.5 / 65.0 = 0.1mol

no of moles of HCl = 3.65/(1.0+35.5) = 0.1mol

no of moles of Zn : no of moles of HCl = 1 : 2

∵ no of moles of HCl required to react with 1 mol of Zn = 0.1 x 2 = 0.2 mol > 0.1  mol

∴ HCl is the limiting reagent

(b)

no of moles of HCl : no of moles of H₂ = 2 : 1

∴ no of moles of H₂ = 0.1 / 2 =  0.05 mol

(c)

no of moles of Zn reacted = 0.1 / 2 = 0.05mol

∴ no of moles of Zn remained = 0.1 - 0.05 = 0.05mol
