How did Hardy known that the envelope was from India?​

• One fine morning of 1913, Hardy came a across a big untidy envelope among few letters lying on his breakfast table.
• It was decorated with Indian stamps.
• On opening the envelope he found few sheets of paper which were not at all clean.
• The sheets contained non - English script.
• He looked at the letter which was written in halting English and was signed by an  unknown India.
• He found the letter a bit boring.
• The person who wrote the letter wanted Hardy`s opinion of these mathematical discoveries.
• The script seems to consist of theorems mostly fantastic or wild looking
• Few of them were well- known and were laid out in such a manner as if they were original.
• There were no substance of any kinds.
