In this chapter you will study about the following topics:
1.what are sources of energy?Types of energy
ans:Energy is the capacity of a physical system to perform work. Energy exists in several forms such as heat , kinetic or mechanical energy, light, potential energy , electrical, or other forms. Energy is the ability to do work. Energy sources could be classified as Renewable and Non-renewable.

Conservation of energy:Energy conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energyby using less of an energy service. ... It is at the top of the sustainable energyhierarchy. It also lowers energy costs by preventing future resource depletion.
And many more topics are there ,they are fully described.
Hope u understand.

Sources of energy is about how can we conserve energy by various methods... It is a brief but short detail about energy. So lets start up with main highlights
Bio plant is imp. It is mainly used in india at a large scale..
Second is solar energy.. You can see it anywhere now it is the most popular now days it is energy saver than those like hydro power plant and thermal power plant....
These two (hydro and thermal) needs more space and but are also a wastage of resources which are left now in a very small quantity...
Thermal power plant uses a lot of fuel.. Which is not renewable..
Next comes the wind energy it is the most worst energy in my opinion... It takes a lot of space money but the production is very less...
Next comes the geo thermal energy.. It says about itself on its name 'geo' means earth and 'thermal' means heat.. This means the heat that comes form the earth like.... Have you seen the hot water fountain in cartoons or anywhere else... Right we uses that heat energy where the large quantity of big and huge heat producing ponds are found....
Ok next comes the most imp...
NUCLEAR ENERGY It is the most dangerous energy to be used.... You can read it briefly in the book....
