any two differences between Eastern Highlands and the andes

The Eastern highlands are much lower in height than the Andes. The Andes are young fold mountains having active volcanic erruptions whereas the Eastern highlands are composed of old hard rocks and have Patagonian Desert which is a cold desert.

The eastern-highland of South America can be described as one of the oldest regions and one can see distinct geological and environmental qualities throughout the land.


You can see a number of differences between the eastern-highland and the Andes, such as the Eastern Highland are made of old hard rock whereas The Andes are young fold mountains.


In addition, one can see volcanic eruptions in the Andes but it can’t be seen in the Eastern Highlands.


There’s a cold desert in the Eastern Highlands named the Patagonian Desert and it is the 8th largest desert in the world.
