(2/5)^5=(2/5)^x
x= 5.

Anonymous: x = 5
adarshkumar7: explain
Anonymous: As the bases are equal on both sides..... their powers must be equal!
PJagadish: see that base that is 2/5 = 2/5
PJagadish: 2 power x/ 5 power x = (2/5) whole power x
PJagadish: since bases are equal exponents must be equal
PJagadish: therefore x = 5

 (\frac{2}{5})  {}^{5}  =  \frac{2 {}^{x} }{5 {}^{x} } \\   ( \frac{2}{5}) {}^{5}  = ( \frac{2}{5} ) {}^{x}  \\ when \: bases \: are \: same \: we \: equate \: powers  \\ so \: x = 5
