If the coin falls behind the passenger that means the bus is accelerated. When the coin is tossed it has same velocity as that of bus but during the time it is in air its velocity becomes less than that of bus (because the bus is accelerated), so it falls behind the passenger.

when the train is accelerating it changes its speed on the coin still moves with the same speed as before . so when the coin is tossed , by the time coin reach back the train nd move ahead and so coin will fall behind the spot from when it was tossed ..
