ANSWER : D) 759528

GIVEN:

  • Perimeter of square = 500 m
  • Width of track = 12√2 m
  • Cost of construction per m² = 147₹

SOLUTION:

Perimeter of square ABCD = 500 m

=> AB( length of one side ) = 500/4 = 125 m

=> BD( length of diagonal ) = √(125² + 125²) = => 125√2 m

=> OB( Radius of smaller circle ) = (125√2)/2

=> 62.5√2 m

Width of track( BX )= 12√2 m

=> OX( Radius of larger circle ) = OB + BX

=> 62.5√2 + 12√2 = 74.5√2 m

Now, In order to find area of track we will find area of both the circles and then subtract the area of smaller circle from area of Larger circle.

Area of larger circle = π(OX)²

=> π ( 74.5√2)² = 11100.5π m²

Area of smaller circle = π(OB)²

=> π (62.5√2)² = 7812.5π m²

Now, Area of track,

=> Area of larger circle - Area of smaller circle

=> 11100.5π -7812.5π

=>3288π

=> 3288 × 22/7 = 10333.7 m²

But, we have to calculate cost of construction of 50% road.

Required construction = 10333.7/2

= 5166.8 m²

Cost of constructing 5166.8 m² track

= 5166.8 × 147 = 759528.001₹

Rounding off upto nearest integer

= 759528 ₹

Hence, option D)759528 is the right answer
