Answer:

Answer F : 60

Answer G : \frac{16}{9}

Explanation:

Question F:

Mechanical advantage = Output Force / Input Force

see the image : so in equilibrium the moment by force must be equal to moment by weight.

weight * a = Force * b

weight / force = b/a

to lift the weight , weight will be output force and force applied will be input force.

Mechanical advantage = Output Force / Input Force = Weight / Force = Input Fulcrum / Output Fulcrum

It is given that Input fulcrum is 30m and output fulcrum = 50cm = 0.5m

and put this in formula

Mechanical Advantage = \frac{30}{0.5}

                                       = 60

Question G:

Mechanical advantage = Output Force / Input Force

so in this case the weight of box is 800 N therefore 800N will be the force required to lift. means that 800N is the output force.

450N is weight of john. means he can apply only 450N hence 450N is the input force.

so

Mechanical Advantage = \frac{800}{450}

                                       = \frac{16}{9}
