whynoonecares: this is the formula because u can see from the name that we have to complete a whole square

shiny209: v r thought to multiply throughout by the first coefficient
whynoonecares: you have to do that in this particular sum as 5 is not a perfect square number and to use completing square method if u make it 25 by lets say multiplying throughout by 5 it will help u
whynoonecares: but in the 2nd sun 4 is already a perfect square number (2)^2 so u do not need to multiply it agaib
