tan² A + cot² A
= sec² A - 1 + cosec² A - 1
= sec² A + cosec² A - 2
= (1/cos ² A) + (1/sin² A) - 2
= (sin² A + cos² A)/(sin² A . cos² A) - 2
= (1/sin² A . cos² A) - 2
= sec² A . cosec² A - 2
= RHS

NOTE: Theta replaced by A

shiny209: should i replace theta by a in exams?
shiny209: can u click a pic and send me i cant understand from division part
shiny209: in the fifth line u typed
Anonymous: I just wrote sin² A + cos² A as 1. And you shouldn't replace theta by A in exam. I just didn't have theta in keyboard so I replaced.
