Announcement regarding Mathematical Olympiad Programme of 2021-2022
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect normal life in the country, it is announced that the national Olympiad programme in Mathematics will be held in a manner similar to that of the last year.
The first stage of the programme will be called the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) organized by the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India). This will be a three-hour examination consisting of 30 questions with each question having an integer answer in the range 00 – 99.
The second stage will be an Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR. This will be a four-hour examination consisting of six questions with proof-based answers.

Message for KV and JNV students:
All eligible KV and JNV students will need to enrol and appear for IOQM 2021 – 2022 in order to qualify for further stages of the Indian Mathematical Olympiad 2021-22. There will NOT be an IOQM – KV for KV students and IOQM – JNV for JNV students this year. For the purpose of selection for INMO 2022 the following selection criteria will apply to both KV and JNV students who appear in IOQM 2021 – 2022.
(i) The KV students who enrol for IOQM 2021 – 2022 will constitute a separate region called KV Region.
(ii) The JNV students who enrol for IOQM 2021 – 2022 will constitute a separate region called NV Region.
(iii) The students in KV Region and NV Region will be subject to the common selection criteria as outlined here.
