Anyone can plz tell me the three points difference between soaps and detergents... and plz give three points atleast....

1. soaps are sodium and potassium salts of higher fatty acids whereas detergents are sulphonate salts of higher fatty acids (Carboxylic acids)
2. soaps form a greasy substance in hard water where is detergents don't form greasy substance in hard water

BATHING SOAP :--
1) LOW GRADE FATS AND OILS ARE USED.
2) BATHING SOAP HAS EITHER LESS OR ZERO SODA TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION.
3) EG. SKIN ,
4) BATHING SOAPS ARE POTASSIUM SALTS OF FATTY ACIDS.

DETERGENT.-
1) HIGH GRADE FATS AND OILS ARE USED AS THE RAW MATERIALS .
2) WASHING SODA HAS MORE OF CAUSTIC SODA IN IT TO TAKE UP THE DIRT AT HIGHER pH.
3) EG. UTENSILS
4) WASHING SOAPS ARE SODIUM SALTS OF FATTY ACIDS.
