anyone can solve this for calculating values of a and b.
when I had solved it a cancels out from left hand derivative.

left hand derivative and right hand derivative are equal when x=1
1+3+a=b+2
a-b=-2
f'x =2x+3    x<_ 1
       b        x.>1
2+3=b
b=5
a-5=-2
a=3
b=5
