Explanation:

Technically the coin will go up and down and not go in other direction as the coin is moving in the direction of the train from an outside perspective and thus the movement of a train doesnot affect the movement of the coin from the perspective from the inside of the train , that much unless the train starts accelarating when the coin is flipped

Answer:

Explanation:

(a) When the train is in accelerating motion (speed increasing) and a coin is flipped inside then the coin will fall behind the spot at which it was tossed.

(b) When the train is in decelerating motion (speed decreasing) and a coin is flipped inside then the coin will fall ahead the spot at which it was tossed.

(c) When the train is moving with the constant speed the coin falls back to the spot from where it was tossed.

Hence in these types of questions the motion of train determines as to where the coin will move. But if the question only states direction of motion of train and mentions the train to be moving forward then the direction of coin fall will be opposite. For eg : if the train is moving towards north then the flipped coin falls to southward direction.
