Answer________________

(i).Plot the frequency spectrum of the

signal.

{ refer in first attachment }

(ii).Plot of amplitude v/s modulated

wave.

{ refer in second attachment }

(iii).Writer what happen if the

modulation index is greater than 1.

If the value of the modulation index is greater than 1, then the wave will be an over modulated wave.

As the value of modulation index increases the carrier experiences a 180° phase reversal which causes addition sidebands and hence, the wave gets distorted.

(iv).What are sidebands.

Each two frequency bands either side of the carrier wave, which contains the modulation signal.

• The sum of the carrier frequency and the modulating frequency is called upper side band frequently (USB).

The difference of the carrier frequency and the modulating frequency is called lower side band frequently (LSB).

{ refer in third attachment }

(v).Writer the full form of PAM,

PWM, & PPM.

(PAM) Pulse amplitude modulation.

(PWM) Pulse width modulation.

(PPM) Pulse position modulation.

(PDM) Pulse duration modulation.

(PCM) Pulse code modulation.

(PTM) Pulse time modulation.
