let angle DAB = x.

angle ABD = 3x

96° + angle ADB = 180° (linear pair of angles)

ADB = 180° - 96° = 84°

In ∆ ABD :-

x + 3x + 84° = 180° (angle sum property)

4x = 180° - 84° = 96°

x = 96/4 = 24°

3x = 24 × 3 = 72°

ABD = 72°
