Question:-

Find the value of m so that

(-3)^{m-1 } \:  \times  \: ( - 3)^{5}\:  =  \: ( - 3)^{7}

Here we can see all the number are (-3) only exponents are different

So let only put the exponents to equation.

m - 1 \times 5 = 7

5m - 5 = 7

5m \:  = 7 + 5

m \:  =  \frac{12}{5}
