This problem can be solved by studying the graph.

1. at beginning of the motion t=0 and the values on the y axis represent their initial positions.

position of P at t=0 is 0 km

position of Q at t=0 is 50 km

therefore

lead of Q from P is of =50-0

=50 km

2.we know that

v=slope of the line Q

v=Δx/Δt

let us take time interval of 0-2 hrs

then

Δt=2-0=2 hrs

Δx=75-50

=25 km

v=25/2

=12.5 km/hrs

3.the two cars will meet when their positions is same.

When their position is same then the two lines in the graph will intersect each other and this is seen at x=75 km and t=2 hrs

4.we know from the 2nd part that speed of Q=12.5 km/hrs

speed of P can be calculated in the same manner

v=Δx/Δt

let us again take the interval of 0-2 hrs

Δt=2-0=2 hrs

Δx=75-0

=75 km

v=75/2

=37.5 km/hr

difference between speeds=Vp-Vq

=37.5-12.5

=25 km/hr

Hope this helps
