Sorry I am not getting 8th answer. But i am trying it.
5. An article is sold with a discount of 7%. S.P. = 465 rupees.
That means 100% - 7% = 93% of marketed price is 465 rupees.
Let the marketed price be p
Then,93/100 x p = 465
p = 465 x 100/93
465 goes 5 times in 93
p = 5 x 100
p = 500 rupees
Therefore, the marketed price is 500 rupees.
7. Total no. of pencils = 20 x 12 = 240. 240/5 = 48. 48 x 4 = 192 rupees
He bought for 192 rupees
In 7th question the rate he sold is 8 rupees or 5 rupees ? Picture is not clear. So i am keeping for both 5 & 8.
If it is 5 rupees, then S.P. = 48 x 5 = 240 rupees or if it is 8 then, 48 x 8 = 384 rupees.
Then profit will be 240 - 192 or 384 - 192 = 48 or 192 rupees
Profit % = profit/cp x 100%
First we will take the of 48 rupees
= 48/192 x 100%
= 1/4 x 100%
= 25%
Second we will do for profit 192 rupees
= 192/192 x 100%
=1 x 100%
= 100%
If he sold at rate of 5 ruppes for 5 then gain % is 25%. If he sold at rate of 8 rupees for 5 then gain% is 100%. As picture is not clear i cannot decide the right one.
When i got 8th answer, i will keep it in comments seection
