let the total no. of fruit be x

no. of mango=1/5x

no. of apple=1/4x

no. of lichi=2/5x

we have,

x-(1/5x +1/4x+2/5x)=60

x-17/20x=60

3/20x=60

x=(60*20)÷3

x=400

therefore the total no. of fruits with the vendor is 400.

List down the Fruit Items :-

Mango =  \frac{1}{5}

Apple =  \frac{1}{4}

Lichi =  \frac{2}{5}

Steps to Remember :-

Orange = \frac{1}{5} Of Total Weight

Total fruit = 280 kg

Orange =  \frac{1}{5} Cuts by 280 then 56

orange = 56 kg

Similarly Apple = \frac{1}{4} of total weight.

So, Apple = 70 kg
