Dear Diary,
Today I had been to a native place of a friend of mine. It is in a remote area. It was my experience to a village. Based on my friends description I had thought that it was not a good place to visit. But it was a pleasant surprise!
All of them welcomed me and my friend with a great hospitality. They served us various kinds of local dishes. As it was afternoon, they served us lunch. The lunch included 3 tasty vegetables, 5 parantha with a dollop of ghee, rice, yummy daal and finally a sweet dessert. I hadn't really expected this. Post lunch, we were given a desi version of packaged milk, lassi.
I was overwhelmed with tears and decided in my mind a new resolution that before I would ever explore the world, I will first explore the rich heritage of India.
