Answer:

Average velocity=50km/hr

Explanation:

Initial velocity=40km/hr

Distance from home to school and vise-versa=4km

Final velocity =60km/hr

Average velocity =

initial velocity+ final velocity/time

:40+60/2

=100/2

=50km/hr

A student start with velocity 40km/hrs

HE returns to his house with the velocity of 60km/hrs

then

average velocity = initial velocity +final velocity / 2

Final velocity =60 km/hr

Initial velocity =40km/hr

so

=40 + 60

-------------------

2

= 100/2 km/hr

= 50 km/hr
