Method:

We all know that hospitality is the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers and this can't be achieved just by theoretical knowledge but from experience and behavioral dynamics. After completion of the bachelors or a certain masters in the field. You should start with OTJ training and development.

Time Frame:

Perfection can only be achieved by the dedication and investment of time and oneself. We can roughly say 4-6 years.

I have always dreamt of becoming a hotel general manager . I would love to oversee if the reception is being properly managed or not . I also have good desk management , marketing , advertising and public relations skills which is another reason why I feel I am fit for this job . Safety and security of a hotel is a key aspect to take care of , if you are a hotel general manager . This I think would perfectly suit me as I am good at managing people . This skill of mine would help me in my future to make sure the security men are doing their work properly or not .

Methods and strategies :

1) Being punctual and having the skill of being able to give full attention to a customer .

2) Make schedule in a way in which I am free during the morning as being a bell captain requires being free during the mornings .

3) Develop good event planning , inventory and proper staff scheduling skills .

4) Learn foreign languages and develop skills in PowerPoint , Microsoft word , Excel , Access , Mac and PC .

5) Add inspiration to the work lives of staffs , give quality guidance and develope problem solving skills .

6) Be detail oriented , have the ability to communicate efficiently , be able to work and pressure and have good problem solving skills .
