Yes, many times, but I never found an answer as you might have already guessed.
Maybe it is some kind of punishment for the wrong things i did in the otherworld ( a better place ) or maybe it is some sort of gift/blessing/vaccation for my good deeds in the otherworld (a worse place). All for approx 80 years with my memories cleared. Or maybe I am a character in a game played by someone, or maybe i am just a person in someone's long dream. Or maybe I live in someone's imagination. Or maybe everything is real and scientifically explainable. (In don't think it is!)
It is a philosophical answer but I myself am not aware of my purpose in life. If you think about it, everything we do, at some point becomes meaningless. So whatever we achieve or lose is for our own fun and experience... Just like a game!
But of course it is just one person's point of view. I don't mean to say that other perspectives are wrong.
