Apala bought 21/2 kg of potatoes where as Meenu bought 11/2 kg of potatoes. Find the total amount of potatoes purchased by both.​

just add both the fractions. and you will get your answer.....

11/2+21/2=32/2

32/2=16

so the total amount of potatoes they brought is 16 kg...

To Find : the total amount of potatoes purchased by both.​

Solution:

Potatoes bought by Apala  = 21/2 kg

Potatoes Bought by Meenu = 11/2  kg

Total Potatoes bought by both = Potatoes bought by Apala   + Potatoes Bought by Meenu

=>Total Potatoes bought by both = 21/2  + 11/2

=> Total Potatoes bought by both = (21 + 11)/2

=> Total Potatoes bought by both = 32/2

=>  Total Potatoes bought by both =  16 kg

total amount of potatoes purchased by both.​ = 16 kg
