Given:

Apala makes a cuboid of plasticine of sides 5 cm, 4 cm, 2 cm.

To find:

How many such cuboids will be needed to form a cube ?

Solution:

L.C.M. of 5 and 2 gives the dimension of the cube to be formed.

L.C.M. of 5 and 2 is 10.

As we know volume of cube is given by

Volume of cuboid =5*5*2\\=50cm^{3}

Volume of bigger cube is

=10^{3}\\=1000cm^{3}

Now

The Number of cuboids required to make the bigger cube

=volume of a cube/volume of cuboid\\=1000/50\\=20

Hence, option (a) is correct option.
