• APJ Abdul Kalam’s full name was AvulPakirJainulaabdeen Abdul Kalam

• He was born on 15th October 1931 at Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, India

• He was born to JainulabiddinMarakayar and AshiammaJainulabiddin

• APJ Abdul Kalam had 3 brothers and 1 sister. Their names were Mustafa Kamal, Mohammed Muthu Meera LebbaiMaraikayar, and Kasim Mohammed. His sister name was Asim Zohra

• He studied BE in St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli, and ME in  Madras Institute of Technology.

• He became an Indian aerospace scientist.

• While delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, Kalam collapsed and died from an apparent cardiac arrest on 27 July 2015, aged 83.
