it's a story about a poor village . but in this story . there is a boy of 10 yrs old and got sick of poor or beggars in your language . so he came to the city to live there and earn money. at night two friends go out for a walk and at night it was so cold so they doubled coated themselves and went to a park . they sat on the bench and saw a small boy alone in midnight and they asked him "where are you from ? What are you doing here at night ." the boy as wearing a torn shirt no shoes and no jacket . they asked the boy where are you gonna to sleep and they asked him if he wanted a job. the boy said that I have come from. a village 15 miles away and he came here to live and he wanted a job ang to earn money . so the two friends to took him to a lawyer and he denied the request so the boy went back to the park and the next day the writer FRIEND was feeling sad for the boy and the writer told no need to be worried although we are selfish mean and never hel.p. people so why help him lets let's give him a job and leave him. so at the next day night it was a storm and the boy could not survive so he basically died . अपना अपना भाग्य जैनेन्द्र कुमार द्वारा रचित कहानी है जिसके माध्यम से वह कहना चाहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य के सामने किसीकी मदद करने का अवसर आता है तो वे कोई भी बहाना बनाकर उससे बचना चाहते हैं और उसकी तकलीफ और परेशानियों को भाग्य का नाम दे देते हैं। घूमने के लिए नैनीताल गए हुए दोस्तों को पार्क में एक गरीब लड़का मिलता है जो सिर्फ दस या बारह साल का है! वह दूर गांव से वहां पैसे कमाने के लिए आया है परन्तु उसे उसका मालिक काम से निकल देता है। एक दोस्त उसकी मदद करना चाहता है पर छोटे नोट न होने के कारण ऐसा नहीं कर पता। अगले दिन पार्क का माली उन्हें बताता है कि वह लड़का भूख के कारण मर गया। प्रत्युत्तर में एक दोस्त बोलता है अपना अपना भाग्य। संक्षेप में यह कहानी मनुष्य की दूसरों की तकलीफों के प्रति उदासीनता और लापरवाही दिखती है।
