Appearances are deceptive.
This line is suitable for the boys mentioned in the chapter ' Two Gentlemen of Verona '.
Well at first instance the boys are found shabbily dressed and thereby making a negative impression in the minds of Luigi, the narrator's driver.
So they were disproved to be worthy according to Luigi. But when the narrator reached the town the boys were the only personnels who were believed for the shelter of narrator.
The next day, the boys are seen shoe shining in the public square at the morning. After a while narrator talks to them about tourist guides for which the boys offer to help them visit places. According to the narrator, the boys were good, trustworthy and reliable for any job they wanted it to be done in Verona.
Finally when the narrator gets to know about the elder sister of boys he gets shattered and also feeling rejoiced to see the family happy. Even though the appearances of the boys were shabby, the deeds and works of their's were of good notion.
Hence we can say that Appearances may sometimes be deceptive. As the driver suspected them to unhelpful in the beginning but at the end the story ends ironically to be on the good side.
