apples bought at the rate of 2 of rs 3 are sold sold at 5 for rs 8. if the total gain is rs 48 then find the no of apples purchased.​

Answer:

let x be the number of apples purchased

now, bought at the rate of 2 for rs 3

for 1 apple is rs 3/2

for x apple is 3x/2

now, sold at 5 for rs 8

for 1 apple is rs 8/5

for x apple is rs 8x/5

then profit = sp- cp

=>48 = (8x/5) - (3x/2)

=>480=16x-15x

=>x=480.

So number of apples purchased is 480.
