128=71% of original weight

ok, percent means parts ouf ot 100

x%=x/100 and 71%=71/100

'of' means mulitply

128=71% of original

128=71/100 times original

multiply both sides by 100/71

12800/71=original

180.281690141=original

so about 180lb of  apples
