Electrical appliances are connected in a parallel arrangement in a house circuit because: Each appliance gets full voltage as resistance in a parallel arrangement is low. If one appliance fuses, it does not affect the working of other appliances. We can use one appliance without using other appliances.

PARALLEL

These are the following reasons-

1) Each appliance gets full voltage as resistance in parallel becomes low.

2) If fuse of one appliance is failed it does not affect the working of other appliances.

3) We can light one bulb without lighting the other bulbs.

NOTE- A series arrangement is not used for connecting domestic electrical appliances in a circuit because if one electrical appliance stops working due to some defect, then all other appliance also stop working as the whole circuit is broken.
